Date added: 2014-04-28, Time12:01:25
On the 7th July 2012 the yacht port in Krynica Mrska was officially opened. Krynica Morska authorities made sure that both invited guests as well as tourists had fun. In the morning sailors took part in a regatta for the Kahlberg Cup. They competed in three categories. After the official ceremonies, which were accompanied by speeches from voivodeship, county and city authorities, there was strip cutting, and the handing over of the official flag and bell of the Zulawska Loop, later a special artistic program was held and the evening ended with a beautiful fireworks show.
The yacht port in Krynica Morska is located on the northern part of the Lagoon, in the city of the tourist and leisure centre at the Vistula Spite. The facility has approximately 80 mooring posts for yachts and 6 places for the service of passenger ships, floating on the Lagoon. It consists of both passenger-trade piers (98.4 m) as well as the marina. Within the framework of Stage I of reconstruction of the port, the following were renovated: existing permanent platforms 1 and 2 which have a length up to 60 m, wharfs north-west (114 linear meter), Bosmanski (34 linear meter) and the north-east (155 linear meter) which total a length of 303 linear meters, forming a yacht port and swimming pool, also equipping them with new mooring-stopping devices and a slip for yachts and sport boats. In addition, floating platforms at platform 1 and 2 were installed, which allows mooring for yachts with a length of 6 -12 m. Wharves, platforms and piers were equipped with a water-pipe network and a power supply. The investment with support of EU funds was completed by Krynica Morska City Municipality.
