What to flow on?

The inland waterways limit the equipment specifications, on which we can flow. Full satisfaction with sailing is provided by the equipment adapted to sailor is requirements. Kayak is the least expensive equipment to purchase and operate; it allows two persons flowing with 100kg luggage at a speed of 10 km/h. The advantage is ability to flow on wild trucks, shallow drainage channels; it is possible to move it while overcoming obstacles. Pontoon with engine has similar characteristics. The most convenient sailing boats on rivers, easy to transport, including by car (maximum width is 2.5 m) are sword boats or sword-ballast boats. Immersion of the units does not exceed 60 cm. This group includes all open-board structures and some cabin structures. Ballast-keel yachts immersion is above 1 m; they are more capable and stable, but less convenient for reaching the bank, they make trouble at entrance to shoal or rocky reef. Motor boats are becoming more and more popular. They allow living all the time on their board, being independent from a marine and land facilities. You can stay anywhere, flow for a few days without reaching the port. They are known as "houseboats". Major disadvantage of these boats can be a strong drift caused by wind severity on a large surface of the board and cabin. All boats must be properly marked and equipped. The obligation to register is not applied to the boats of length not more than 5 m and moving with a motor of power less than 5 kW (6.67 km).
